Welcome to GAB Ministries
Hello GAB Friends! How exciting to see how the Lord continues to open doors for Chandra to minister, and in so many different venues! Just this year she has spoken to students on purity, both spiritual and sexual; to Mothers and Daughters at a Tea, at a Women's retreat on the beach, to staff wives at a brunch and at a Women's Conference at a church. She has also promoted her books at the Christian Book Expo in Dallas and to the women at Houston Northwest Church (her home church) each month. She just finished Cherished; her latest Bible study for teen girls, which will be released August of this year and is currently writing The Church Lady, which is her first inspirational book for women! We praise God for all that He continues to do through the work of GAB Ministry.
A word from Chandra
I'm excited as I look forward to these up and coming weeks! Holly, our youngest daughter, will graduate from FIDM, LA in June and then I will leave for Kenya with a group from my church on June 25th! I'll speak to students in the schools and work with a team from Houston Northwest Church as we partner with World Hope Ministries. We will teach both children and adults the good news of Jesus Christ as work at the orphanage in a rural area where we will stay. We are sure there will be many unexpected opportunities to share God's wonderful love along the way. God is so good to call me back to Africa and to provide all that is needed to get me there! I just took my yellow fever shot...so I'm ready to go! Thankfully I had all the other shots I needed last year for the South Africa and Egypt trips! Since the shots are good for 10 years, I'm praying the Lord will have me go back many more times. Just think...no more shots!
Please pray for me as I prepare to go, pray for my family while I'm away and pray for the people who I'll minister to and along side. The Lord continues to amaze me with all that He puts in my path. It is my joy to serve others because ultimately I am serving my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
If you are going on a mission trip, working in your VBS or sharing Jesus in your home, school, work place or just living your life for God's glory...then keep on keeping on! God is good and what an honor to live our lives to please Him and bring Him glory!
If I see you this summer or if I don't...stay strong and keep shinin' for Jesus! Together we can make a difference for the kingdom! So on earth or in Heaven, until we meet again...
